so i’ve been mia for a while, on all internet platforms.

first, i had my law school final exams, which ended last week. then i had four days off - restarting class this past thursday. in those four days (and since then progressively) i’ve been moving into a new apartment across town. i’ve been moving things up and down so many stairs, painting and repainting walls, and building furniture. to top it all off, we don’t have internet connected yet because apparently in quebec it takes a week and a half to have some guy come and click the wires together and drop off a router. so school research has been fun, let alone keeping in touch or streaming tv…

it has given me time to reflect, though, on how dependent we’ve become on an internet connection. my iphone’s data toll is telling that tale, loud and clear.

the application process for mcgill law is pretty clearly laid out - the deadlines, the online process, the requirements for admission. there’s lots of competition for the 160 or so spots, so my best tip would be to give yourself plenty of time for editing your application and ensuring you have the best references you can. in your personal statement, be sure to highlight your successes that are above and beyond your resume, for example language competencies or important personal experiences that have shaped you and your desire to study a) law and b) law at mcgill.

if you have any more questions specifically about mcgill or montreal or law school, i’ll be glad to answer the best i can. right now i’m in exam-mode, so at the end of the month i’ll be in a much better position to answer!
